Our July 4th celebration always begins on July 3rd when the Rotary Club of Paris has their big firework show. It was on a Wednesday night this year. So as soon as church was over, we headed to Civic Center to park and watch the show.
Waiting for the show to start
On the morning of the 4th, we headed down town to watch the parade. We picked up Benton to go to the parade with us since the Huckleberry was open and Amy and Lanny were working there.
Adorable!!
Benton went home with us for a little while, and he and Avery had a blast playing at the redneck water park (aka, our backyard)!
Avery found a trumpet to play when we delivered Benton back to his parents.
Lanny, Amy, Butler and Benton came back over later that evening and we grilled out hamburgers and shot off some fireworks.
These two were not crazy about the loud fireworks, so they hung out in the car before we finally went in the house to watch movies.
What a wonderful 4th of July holiday we had with some even greater friends!!
