New Years Eve was a pretty busy day for us. I started the process of taking all my Christmas decorations down, which was not near fun as it was a month or so ago when I was getting it all out. At 1pm, we went to Kim and Eric's wedding. Kim is a very sweet girl and made a beautiful bride. Seems like just yesterday she was babysitting Courtney and Courtney would beg her to spend the night. And Kim would because she was so nice and sweet....or because Courtney was so persistent.
The newlyweds: Mr. & Mrs. Eric Suddeath
Kim made her own cupcakes as well as the small cake on top
Kelli (Kim's sister) Brittany (my future daughter in law...jk) and Michael
Ben, Jack, Rod, Darrell and Keith (father of the bride)
And it was my lucky day! I found a baby to love on :) Parker Dean is Mandy & Chucks nephew, and they were babysitting for the evening
Found this crew in the bedroom playing cards: Michael, Kelli, Erin & Hailey
Lenita (on the phone as usual) Kristy and Becky
Chuck, Lanny, Evan, Rod and Ben
Autumn, Courtney & Charlie
Sara (aka baby snatcher) Darrell, Keith and Mandy
We played "dummy" bridge which I thought was a lot of fun. Rod said I was the only person he heard that said that. Some complained that it was too long - and it is a long game, but it is so much fun. You switch partners every hand, so you always have someone new to play with. We played it at Ladies Night Out a few years ago, and it was a lot of fun then too!
Kelli, Melanie, Courtney and Charlie
Denis, Earl, Amy & Michael
Kelli, Lanny, Evan & Charlie
The spectators
Lenita making sure the preacher and my son are not cheating. Gotta watch those two!
After the game, we went outside and watched a very nice Fireworks display. Earl bought a lot of the big fireworks and gave us quite a show.
Arlo, Vivian, Dwight, Denis, Joyce & Becky
The one who has to put up with my daily rambling - or at least pretends too
