The youth at church took up donations for the less fortunate kids in Belize. We asked members of our congregation for donations of small items such as toys, socks, school supplies, candy, stuffed animals, hygiene items, etc. Also, each one of our youth purchased small items for a boy or girl their own age as well. They then filled out a personal note telling about themselves to send with the shoe box. The boxes will be shipped to the church in Belmopan, Belize, and distributed to the kids there.
After evening services on Sunday night, the youth and their parents stayed to eat some nachos and put the boxes together. We had a GREAT turn out! We ended up with 44 boxes which I thought was AWESOME for our first year! I took lots of pictures as you can see...
