SNOW DAY!

This past Sunday we received a pretty nice snow for this area. By the time we got out of church, there was a good mixture of sleet and snow that was on the ground. After services, we went over to Earl & Lenita's to eat lunch, and by the time we left there we had several inches of snow on the ground. And the big puffy flakes of snow continued to fall all afternoon. The last time Rod measured, he measured 5 1/2 inches, but it snowed quite a bit more after that, so I am guessing we had at least 7 to 7 1/2 inches of the white stuff.

Courtney had a friend, Jaci, come over. And Michael drove out to the Mitchell's house.

The snowman. I have no idea why it has a hole going through the middle of it. I asked and I got some goofy answer that I don't remember.

It had a huge icicle for it's spiked hair. And it's eyes are chocolate candies.

Now for those of you who know Rod, you know that is TOTALLY against dogs in the house. But he must have softened his heart a little. He let us bring the dogs in and bathe them, and let them sleep in the house for several nights. They had to stay outside during the day when we were not home.

I was told that if the snow stays on the ground for 3 days, it is coming back. It was on the ground for 6 days, so we will see if that holds true. Actually, we still have most of the snowman in our backyard, although everything else is pretty much melted away. The snow was very pretty, but I am ready for it to be gone and for warmer weather!
