A Shower for Hunter & Britney

Our little Hunter is FINALLY getting married in a couple of weeks.  He and Britney have been dating for about 9 years and we were beginning to wonder if the day would ever come.  And it will be here soon!  We couldn't let him get married without throwing him a fun shower!  Hunter tried his best to get out of attending, but we gave him no choice.  And to be honest, I think he ended up having a good time.  The newlyweds will be going to Cancun on their honeymoon.  We thought a beach themed party would be the perfect send off!  So several of us spent our lunch hour on Monday transforming the atrium into a fun little paradise.

Everyone donated money and I made a wreath to pin it all on.  We gave them a beach bag filled with towels, sun screen, lip balm, flip flops, etc.
We had lots of delicious food to snack on

The soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Hunter Humphrey

Congratulations Hunter and Britney!  We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!  And of course, lots of little ones!

Cody graduates from High School

Our third graduation was Cody, who graduated from High School.  Michael graduated at 10am in Henderson, TN.  Cody graduated at 8pm in Broken Bow, OK on the VERY SAME DAY!  Two graduations.  Seven hours apart!  That made for a crazy fast drive from Tennessee to Oklahoma.  We actually left in plenty of time but due to a hazmat situation, we were delayed about an hour.  We still made it to Cody's graduation with 5 minutes to spare.  Whew!

We don't get to see Cody near as much as we like, but we are so very proud of him and this milestone in his lifel!  Cody is thinking about joining on of the services, so please keep him in your prayers as he makes this decision!  Whatever he decides, he will have our support 100%.

We love you Cody and are so proud of your accomplishments!

Michael graduates from Freed Hardeman

Our second graduation in a week was Michael, who graduated with his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting.  Michael attended Paris Junior College his first year out of high school before transferring to Freed Hardeman University to complete his bachelors degree.  Michael absolutely loved attending college at Freed and gained the experience of a lifetime.  He formed so many lifelong relationships.  He not only studied in classes that would help him make a living, he also studied in classes to help him grow spiritually.  We are so proud of him and his accomplishment that he has worked so hard for. Michael plans on continuing his education in the Fall, working towards his Master's degree, and then preparing for the CPA exam.

Congratulations Michael Blake!  We love you very much and are so proud of you!!

Courtney graduates from PJC

What a busy graduation season for our family!  Three of our four kids graduated in May!

Our first graduation was for Courtney, who graduated from PJC with her Associates Degree.  When Courtney graduated from high school just last year, she technically had enough hours to be considered a sophomore in college. She took dual credit college classes her junior and senior year which gave her a pretty good head start on her college career.  She was able to finish all of her basics in just one year at PJC.  She plans on continuing her education at either Texas A & M Commerce or University of North Texas in the fall.  We are very proud of this accomplishment for Courtney.

After graduation, we made a trip to Braum's for some ice cream

Congratulations Courtney!  We love you and pray for you everyday!

Happy 90th Birthday MawMaw

On May 1st, the sweetest woman I know celebrated her 90th birthday.  Not only do I think she is pretty special, but so did around 75 other people who took time out of their busy schedules to come wish this precious lady a Happy Birthday!

 The birthday girl!

She received a proclamation from the mayor
A congratulations letter from the Governor
And a Happy Birthday wish from the White House

Her BFF from High School even came to celebrate with her (she will be 90 in August)

What a happy day for a very special lady who I am lucky enough to call MawMaw!!
