Tennessee Trip

Last weekend we traveled to Tennessee to see Michael.  It had been 2 months since we had seen him and it the visit was way overdue!

We stopped in Little Rock to eat at the Purple Cow - one of our favorite places to eat

It was the first time my mom had eaten there.  I think we tried to take her a couple of times when she would visit us while we lived in Arkansas - but it was always too crowded.  If you don't get there early enough to beat the lunch crowd, you have to wait forever.

We took Michael out for supper at the Longhorn Steak house on Friday night 

Then he came back to the hotel to stay with us.  He was working on a paper Thursday night and didn't get in bed until 5am Friday morning so he was pretty tired.  He probably didn't even begin working on the paper until midnight!

Saturday morning we went to the campus to see what was going on

We hung out at Benson Hall (where Michael lives) for a little while

We went up to his dorm room to check it out.  

Michael, his roommate and his suite mates moved all four of their beds in one room.  So they have a "bedroom" and a "living room."  Michael assured me that their room isn't normally this messy and they usually keep it clean.  I bet they say that to all the mommas!!

We went and saw Pitch Perfect.  It was very funny!

We took Michael and two of his roommates to lunch Sunday after church before heading home to Texas.

So glad my mom was able to go with us!!

It was a fun trip!  So glad I was able to put my arms around my boy and see for myself he was doing okay.  He will be home in two days for Thanksgiving break!!
